Emma - book

I had seen the movie with Gwyneth Paltrow, because I love her. I liked the movie so much that I was afraid that the book would be disappointing - it wasn't. It seems the movie was pretty true to the original story. Of course it was a couple of years ago that I saw the movie, but I liked remembering scenes from the movie as I read the book. I liked that all the sides of the heroine were revealed, even the feelings that she herself wasn't sure of. I'd never forgotten the scene from the movie where she was rude to Miss Bates and how Mr. Knighley scolded her for it. That and the misconceptions she had regarding who was interested in whom, and who was not, made her very human.
